Fitness and mobility is a journey, not a destination.  I was lucky enough for my fitness journey to start when I was very young as a dancer, gymnast, diver, snowboarder, runner, rock climber, skateboarder and yoga enthusiast.  Movement has always been my passion, and it led me to pursue my bachelors degree in Dance and Nutrition.  During my time studying at Metropolitan State University, I was fortunate enough to take anatomy and kinesiology courses that heightened my understanding of body movement, physiology, and physique. I took many nutrition classes that enhanced my ability to offer nutritional knowledge and work through dietary habits and restrictions.  I simultaneously got to take upper level dance, choreography, and production classes that aided in my strong ability to create and facilitate movement patterns, design individual and group stretching and strengthening exercises for a diverse community of dancers, and work behind the scenes in order to cultivate strong, authentic performances.

During my time in late high school and early college I got the opportunity to coach gymnastics for 5 years in a competitive team atmosphere for 80+ gymnasts ranging from ages 6-18.  This drove the necessity to build and create conditioning workouts for a diverse range of kids with varying skill levels.  I also began teaching dance for two years up until I finished my Yoga certification where I began the transition from working exclusively with children and teens, to working with adults in all walks of life.

After graduating college, I continued my wellness training by becoming a Certified Yoga Instructor RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance.  I started my yoga practice 7 years ago and never imagined the passion and drive that it would give me; it literally fuels my soul.  My classes were all tracked for a long time prior to my training and I had successfully completed more than 1300 yoga classes before I even applied for the teacher training.  My yoga practice has changed my life physically, emotionally and spiritually, and I have a huge passion for sharing my yoga journey with others.  During training we learned about the eight limbs of yoga and spent hours in posture clinics observing optimal alignment and working on effective cueing strategies in order to prevent injury.

I am a passionate, driven trainer.  Enthusiastic about opportunities to cultivate specialized work out plans for you tailored to your specific goals.  Taking the time to get to know you is my main priority in order to help you achieve your greatest self.  I pride myself on being detail oriented and hypervigilant when observing movement in order to provide feedback for you to effectively stretch and strengthen safely no matter where you are on your fitness journey.  I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for health and wellness with my community.  Come and see me for a free consultation to see if we can be a good fit together.
